i was given this recipe at work and i tweaked it for my own use this is by far one of the strangest cake recipes i have ever done, not difficult but spectacular
the recipe is broken up into three parts the batter a sugar mixture that gets sprinkled on top and freshly brewed hot coffee that gets poured on top
the cake is then baked without mixing and the result is a cake with a layer of fudge at that ends up on top of the finished cake when inverter
you will need
1 cup of all purpose flour
2 tbsp cocoa
2tsp baking powder
1/tsp of salt
1 1/4 cup sugar divided
1/2 cup milk
3 tbs oil
1 tsp vanilla
________________________________________________________
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup coca
_________________________________________________
1 1/2 cups freshly brewed coffee (black no cream)
preheat oven to 350
lightly grease a 8 x 8 inch pan
start by mixing the flour 2, tbsp of cocoa, baking powder salt, 3/4 of a cup of the sugar, the milk oil and vanilla pour batter into prepared pan
mix remaning 1/4 cup of sugar, brown sugar, and 1/4 cup coca sprinkle on top of batter
pour hot coffee on top of cake DO NOT MIX
bake untill cake springs back when touched

the fudge will be on the bottom of the cake when you cut it you can spoon it out and drizzle it on top or just invert the entire cake on a platter
