Why does my fursona have to have such a difficult head for a first time suit maker? uvu
Her head shape is so weird, how do I fit a human one inside it? I'd prefer there to be a moving jaw. The eyes are a bit wide-set so I guess vision is out of the nose holes? Lol
The faint lines you see in each drawing are the trace of the Cannes-Toothless suit! See the difference in the "ears" are placed?
Maybe some sort of head shape that
firefeathers had going on with her Neri suit? like this, and this and this guy.
I'd love any maker suggestions or tips on how to make this head work!
This is why I don't make fursuits ;3;

The problem isn't with the suit, it's with the human head. You'd need large rigid objects going from each segment of your jaw to the head's outer jaw, otherwise your jaw can't put enough force down to open such a large mouth properly.
A.K.A. Anatomy 101. I could try to lend you the book if you want.

It's still doable if made with a firm underside. The suit would just have to be heavily padded on each side to hold such a wide head in place, if the jaw is just a base of resin the the middle with light foam for the rest of it, the middle palette could be pushed down via the chin and the light foaming would give way enough to pass as a large grin. c: It's a lot of work, a lot of trial and error, but most definitely doable!
Agreeable and a good idea, problem then is that resin base needs to pull up when the mouth closes. This would mean hard strapping to the bottom jaw of the wearer, which will hurt like hell if it's gonna work properly, and be really heavy. Wearing it for any period of time would hurt, plus the hard parts are gonna be dense and heavy on the neck, which if the jaw needs to move freely wont be able to be strongly supported by the wearer's shoulders. Doing it that way is yes, doable, but it's not gonna at all be comfortable.
Possible, but it could also just simply be set up like a normal resin jaw where everything is just close to the face while the rest of it is merely a lightweight sculpt for shape purposes. It keeps it light but still functional. You won't be able to get the mouth to open widely through such a large size head, but it'd still move enough to know that someone is talking.
This is a head type that I think I might need to play around a bit now c:

I don't think so. Actually, I'm pretty sure not. Although-the lady wearing it was a fursuit maker, and her husband was a friend of the boi's. So I "talked" (sat and listened while the bf, her husband and she talked) with her for a few minutes- but she was hot from the fursuit parade, and went to her room fairly soon there after.
Monoyasha made a toothless, but may not be what you're looking for. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDwmvDHaJWQ
To solve the eye + moving jaw issue you could always try mirrors! Similar to a parascope style in which the images are reflected multiple times to appear regular.
Also, for the head shape--if you want to attempt making it yourself; I'm honestly kind of tempted to make a toothless just to test it out--you could try that modeling clay/foam-type stuff. You'd need a ton and it isn't quite breathable at all (some types are also pretty fragile but that can be fixed via coatings or extra support) but a fan would DEFINITELY fit inside since the head would be so large.

Sadly I don't. x(
However you might wanna check out the Fursuit LJ if you haven't already, there may be someone there who has!
But hnnnggg, Airless is just so cute I might try out some prototype "mirror-vision" suits in a similar style; if they turn out halfway decent I'd be more than willing to make you one of Airless if you haven't found a maker by then. ^^

I have seen pictures of a Toothless with a moving jaw, but I'm not sure if it moved with the wearers jaw or not.
Also if moving jaw turns out to be too difficult you could always try mouth vision? Or mouth and nose? Because unless you've got some massive nostrils that's going to be a tiny amount of vision!

As I am not a fursuit maker (well, YET) I don't quite know, but I would imagine same as any other type of vision, a heavy see-through mesh, likely in black (or other appropriate throat colour) except instead of in the face or whatever it would be in the mouth! (I could doodle an example of what I mean in case my explanation was crap haha)
The orange is love!
The only problem I've had while looking for fur colours is finding her DAMN TURQUOISE.
It's either "that generic "electric" blue" from Mendels, or "pale-as-fuck anemic baby blue".
I'm probably going to have to either airbrush it, or heck, order a custom bolt of fur just for her suit, and sell the rest off later. e,=,e

It looks like a Toothless. :)
could definitely do this for you... http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5222112/
also did a pretty good shape like this for an anthro body. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12798730/
