So as I've been making stupid comics of Kree, I've been thinking he needs a proper fictional house to live in. So I've been doing some rough sketching of what the layout of his house would look like! :P
The first important element was a banister on the second floor placed directly above the couch, for optimal prank-ability :D
I've put in various rooms that make sense, and picked a room for Kree. The other three upstairs are generic spare rooms for any potential extra roommates.
Some important things that are missing though:
- Where should I put the downstairs toilet?
- Where should I put Dee's room? Dee is super lazy and doesn't want any of the upstairs rooms.
- The area with the two question marks needs something interesting, like Dee's room and a dining room.
- I have no idea what to do with the antechamber...
I'd also like to hear any other suggestions you might have for what this house should have ;)

Hmm yeah, I was wondering about the bathroom/toilet. It is nice to have a sink in the same room as the toilet, like at my parent's house. But I've also been in an apartment with the toilet in a separate room, and one with the toilet in the same room as the bath/shower. They're both not as ideal as a dedicated toilet & sink room, but they probably save on space. Hmm.... realistic apartment vs ideal apartment? :P
Oh a bar, that's a pretty good idea actually! Originally I only had a boring single doorway there. That'll help when I get around to filling the kitchen with proper furniture.
Also yeah, I should probably think of a good spot for a linen closet. It's the little stuff like that you forget when you make up a fake house XD

I did a slight edit to your ground floor plan to incorporate a bathroom. I reduced the laundry area a bit because it was kind of large and SLIGHTY reduced the Antichamber in order add a full bath to the first floor. Door placement is still iffy, as I didn't know how you felt about incorporating an under stair door to the bathroom and I didn't want to take up any valuable floor space in what could essentially be a dining room/wetbar area.

Not really, apart from the possibility of adding a garden or lawn or whatever sometime. It's possibly surrounded by other apartment buildings? By the way I'm curious, what do you use for making 3D models? I didn't really have much success trying to plan this layout in 3D modelling software.
I was thinking of creating some extra rooms between the laundry and antechamber, although a second bath might be a bit too decadent. I'll probably make that into Dee's room.
As for the second floor bathroom, I probably won't put the toilet right in the middle there, but it does make more sense to combine the two rooms in some way.

For modeling I use Sketchup. It's free, powerful and easy to learn. All you have to do is draw lines with the pencil, then pull them up into shapes. Houses are easy.

I put a second bath there because you said you needed one for the first floor!

It does really work well if you keep things simple.
I was able to take a sketch I drew in my SLEEP:

and make it into a partway decent floor model.

when it comes to water and plumbing designs you often see one one line in simple houses, so bathoom, toilet, kitchen and laundry room are often share a wall somewhere, the kitchen however is often a exception( because people dont want their toilet close to where food is being prepared) to this so you probably want to put the downstairs toilet under the laundry room wall
Hmm, well it depends on if you want something really specific like Autodesk's AutoCAD program, or just repurpose one of the many DIY house design programs out there. I tried a few of them when attempting to plan out this house, but I couldn't find one that really suited me well. I decided to just make up a grid in my usual art program and draw over it using various layers. What kind of castles did you want to design for? DnD? Minecraft? Or just castle designs in general?
Oh dang I thought I replied to this earlier, I must've forgotten to hit the reply button. Sorry 'bout that!
I haven't had much experience with the various DnD-based map software out there, last I check there was quite a variety. You'd probably have better luck searching for something like "d&d mapping" and looking amongst the map making software that comes up. I did a quick search and found a list of recommendations on the /r/DnD subreddit. I hope that helps?
