Small Portrait: Your Light Still Shines
A commission for the wonderful, sweet, and soulful 
of her character, Dema, holding her beloved and sadly departed Katur, an Icelandic sheepdog. This was going to be a chibi portrait, but she loves this dog sooo much that I felt her relationship with him deserved a hopeful but more serious portrayal. I hope she likes it!
Done with copic markers, micron inks, and white gel pen on bristol board. Framed with scrapbooking paper. Measures 4" x 6".

it's never easy, saying goodbye to someone so dear to you... kátur was with me for nearly 17 years; he was 4 months old when I got him, and died at 17 years and 18 days old. he was, is, my best friend, my little brother... and I know I'll get to see him again. 'til then, he lives on in the universe of my character, as her companion and guardian. <3
