I have suffered lately and while I know it is small compared to others, or others might see theirs as worse, that's fine. That is normal to see each of our own pain as the worst possible. That being said, I wonder...
How do you view the scars you carry? They could be physical or emotional, even scars we have on our hearts.
Do you view them as a strength? Something to look back on and say I survived that.
Or maybe it's something to look back on and continue to be hurt by the details or event that made it happen in the first place.
I view my scars as my strength, y way to show that I did survive to others yet at the same time a way to reflect on myself and given me more strength when I need it.

Steel cannot be tempered without heat. Blades cannot be forged without a hammer. With every flame, every pounding, the closer I become to an unbreakable sword.
Will my sword be used for justice and defense? Or will my sword be used for annihilation and revenge?
That is the true test of virtue and values.
