I relate to this a lot, and I'm thankful for teachers who fostered my creative and imaginative tendencies. I had a lot of advanced work and alternate assignments because I'd finish the normal work so easily and be frustrated and bored.

I just spent that time doodling and stopped caring about applying for the advance studies other than art.

I once blew up the biology lab fishtank with a chunk of sodium metal...

You can't just say that and leave it at that.

There were no fish in it at the time :P

Adorable. This reminded me of a time in kindergarten when the teacher gave us a coloring project and said that if we did well, we'd get a smiley face sticker, but if we did poorly we'd get an unhappy face sticker. I wanted to know what an unhappy face sticker looked like, so I purposely made it look awful, scribbling all over the lines with every crayon in the box. When I handed it in, ready for my sticker, she gave me a fresh copy and told me to try again. A little bit of confidence in the adult world was lost that day.

I'll make sure to use that somehow.
