So I was mapping the perimeter of a pine stand and a swamp on the GPS when all of a sudden two of these guys flew up. They still stuck around and were walking pretty close to me so I snapped some cool pictures. These are sandhill cranes and barely a day has gone by out in the field when we didn't see or at least hear them somewhere.
