Luna moths are so rare here where I live and they used to be abundant. I blame the farmers that spray the fields. =/ This is a gorgeous shot. I should submit one I took when I got lucky to actually see one in my impatient flower pot.

I've only seen one in my life, those bugs are huge, I was with a friend gassing up his car when it fluttered in from the window and landed on my arm. It's a lovely bug... too bad their probably going extinct... Woopti doo! Good job us humans we've done it again!

Luna Moths are awesome, I've seen maybe 5 in my whole life. Theyre called that because of how they looked when they would swarm in moonlight, the reflected light made them shine. Also, this isn't a sad highlight of your day, you saw something rare, thats pretty cool :P
