First off I'm Aware that SL screen shots aren't really art, but I'd like to think of this as still an expression of my vision and my creativity.
From the pages of D&D, this is Obelisk the Blade Lord. Also known as Obelisk the Black Lord, The Black Blade Lord, Lord of the Obsidian Keep, or the Black Lord of Blades.
Obelisk is One of the last great villains of the "Third Age" as I've come to call it (Or 3.5). Obelisk will be the last villain that I portray before making the conversion to 4.0. Obelisk is a misunderstood man, and has a bit of the Darth Vader syndrome going on - meaning that he's fighting for a cause and that cause is all he has, he believes what he is doing is the ritious way and therefore he's ready to go it tooth and nail to the end. About 25 years prior, Obelisk was just known as Oberyth (Oh-ber-ith) The Black Duke. Something transpired that no one alive to this day can tell, but now he has returned with this new fearsome persona that raids whole kingdoms and levels them to the ground and raises them as black dark and brooding fortresses to match his overall image. Rumor has it he's trying to fill a void inside him, taking lives and pillaging until that void is fulfilled.

I see screen shots as Photography. I spend time on some to get a shot, and other are just being at the right place at the right moment. Still some are just seeing something different or a view worth keeping.
A portrate like your is unequice. You may not have made the AV yourself, but you have taken that AV and change it added to it to become yourself. So now it is no longer just the AV designer work but work by both of you. To me that is no longer stealing the designer's work. if that was true then all cameras would be outlawed.
