Oh hey! this is a good idea! I might just make a badge for myself for my next con and put a QR code on the back. I'm pretty easy to find, though--my username is short and I've only ever seen it misspelled as "Tika"

Yeah, and I'm the only Elbi on here too, but people forget sometimes, and I feel like seeing the QR code and the link and the phrase will make them think 'Hey! I want to watch this person later even after the con is over. Let me take a pic and look them up later!" or if someone asks if you have an FA, instead of just waving one of my badges at them and nodding like a crazy person, trying to get them to realize that hey, your name IS your FA name too, I can just flash this instead and they'll immediately understand xD

I used to think QR codes were a geeky gimmick too, but I can actually see where they come in handy, especially in situations where you might not have time to open up a browser on your phone and type stuff in, then pore through the results for the right one. With the app, literally all a person has to do is steady their cam over my badge, let the page load and click +Watch if they're logged into FA already. That easy. I love it. I already plan on taking pics of as many suiters badges as I can if I'm able to (I've gotten pretty handy with taking pics on my DSLR in my suit!) so I can credit them properly later. I hate having to ask the community at large to identify them, it's like I just took the pic with them and didn't really do much else or even find out their name. So hopefully this idea helps make that a little easier for folks like us who like to keep in touch with new and interesting friends we meet!
