No, I mean don't the two look similar now since the colors almost match? And also, Sonia is a hedgehog and so has a similar body style (particularly the head) to Rouge thus adding to it.

Depends on what it's put against. A lustery silver or green go with black. Anything else, just depends. That purple on her, does work but they did put her in purple once (not sure the shade) and the outfit was hideous...but I don't think the color had anything to do with it.
