Inside the costume Alvin is definitely not enjoying the romantic interlude but is finding it very difficult to get any traction to escape thanks to the high heels he has on.

Agreed. It works really well. I think it's having the 'girl' look inviting no matter what the person inside is feeling. When pushing away it looks like she wants him to go somewhere else on her. If she runs and looks behind to see if he's still there, it looks like she's throwing him a coquettish glance to tell him to chase her.
