I have seen the mile and miles of miles and mile in northern Alaska and not a tree in sight... Just pucker brush, and tundra... (Not the dog)

Same applies to Nebraska and Kansas.. other than missing 2 more lanes this could be parts of I70 or I80

Sorry about that early morning reply is my excuse but I work all night. Driven across Nebraska a few times.. Nothing like 30 miles of freeway running down 1 lane for construction that isn't HAPPENING

well it's a lot of emptiness for sure but I guess it's the charm of the great plains.
for a trip on a road like that, I'd choose a Citroën XM with some rock/country in the player. too bad this one isn't approved for the USA/Canada, great car when you need to hit the road

At least the cities in Iowa are spread out..... Nebraska and Kansas get through the 2 cities on the east side and NOTHING. Heck the freeways signs in Nebraska warn you 56miles to next exit with gas
