I always used to draw anime style. But trying to branch out is kinda hard... Q.Q trying to teach myself to move my hands in other curves and types of eyes!!.

Haha, I know what you mean, I usually draw with stiff, rigid forms and lines, recently I've been trying to teach myself to use more loose forms and a more sketchy drawing style until I can establish a good idea of how things should look.

Not gonna lie, my more recent drawings started off as minor tracing of the eyes and muzzle to learn new ways. ^^;; to get my hand comfy with the movements it takes. This one was looking and drawing. The others were just around the face.

There's nothing wrong with tracing! I haven't been able to draw anything without at least tracing by eye.

I see it as the tracing the parts you aren't sure of helps get your mind comfortable with memorizing the lines your hands need to make...if that makes sense XD

It does make sense. I play piano, and often I will just sit there and play something over and over again, slowing going faster and faster, and this helps me develop muscle memory for it so I can (eventually) just do it without thinking. It seems to be the same for almost all kinds of art.

Huh... I never thought about it, but it really kinda is. You do just kinda get used to breathing with your stomach after a while.
