Well... since I haven't posted another culinary delight I like preparin' thought I'd tempt yer tastebuds with another'a one'a m'fav dishes I like ta prepare... my own slight lil' variation on peppersteak!
Now most usually it's made usin' only green peppers but I like usin' some'a the other color peppers in mine ta help give it that diversity of color.
ingredients:
2 grilling steaks
a small pawful of fresh mushrooms (plastic covered carton)
1 and 1/2 sliced onions
4 bell peppers (1 green, 1 yellow, 1 orange, an 1 red)
marinade fer cookin' the steaks, mushrooms an the 1/2 onion: some A1 steak sauce, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and teriyaki
1 cup of white rice
jus' prepare yer white rice as ya would fer any dish callin' fer it... ina smaller skillet prepare the sauce marinade combo then add the mushrooms an the 1/2 sliced onion yer gonna use ta cook the steaks. Cut the steaks inta thin strips while the marinade is simmerin' then add the steak strips an cook till they're a nice brown...
In a larger skillet put in the sliced up peppers and slice up the other whole onion... I usually cook this part with a tbls of butter and a light greasin' of olive oil on the bottom of the skillet. I try ta cook the peppers so that they softened up a bit but still have a slight crunch to'em while chewin' so they aren't cooked too long.
Add the marinated steaks, mushrooms an onions from the smaller skillet and stir.
make a circular bed of the white rice on yer plate then add the peppersteak ta it's center an spoon out some'a the sauce over it all an serve... enjoy!
