A rather spicy dish from
!
Well I been tellin' you critters how much I LOVE a good ol' bowl'a hot jambalaya... 'specially on these chillier winter nights...
So t'night I fixed m'self up another batch'a m' own specialized jambalaya an thought I'd share a couple pics of it up with ya...
Now this particular batch was made up with the standard box of Zatarain's jambalaya mix ya can get an any supermarket.
But ta this particular batch I mixed in the leftovers from a previous peppersteak dinner I'd made a few nights b'fore, 1 chicken breast that I sliced up inta nice big ol' chunks, a part of a bag'a shrimp that m'roomie Ramseys'd had stored in the freezer (still had tails on'em so I de-tailed'em after thawin'em ;) a can of Hunts' seasoned diced tomatoes, 5 stalks of green onions an this is how this batch'a jambalaya turned out.
Now this batch is rather spicy with the peppers an sauce that was in the pepper steak so fer those'a ya that don't like yer jambalaya that hot/spicy I suggest ya don't go this route with it... but m'point mainly is that jambalaya is a dish ya make mainly usin' yer left-overs an own creativity... every dish ya make of it will retain it's distinct flavor of bein' jambalaya while also bein' unique in that ya've made it with what'cha got on hand ...
Hope ya like it :)
