My representation of the Spring Equinox, or Ostara as some may know it.
An Alcarin perches on a wall within a lush garden, holding an egg, the universal symbol of new life. He is heavily adorned with jewels and feathers that match his companion bird, a peacock - traditionally a symbol of vanity but also undisputed beauty.

Forgive me for the short description, I'm a bit tired. =/

Size 14" by 22"...and yes, this is a photograph. My scanner is unfortunately too small to scan something this size, so I do the best I can with a digital camera and some Photoshop.
