Your flaw was thinking Carmelita would be happy with just one clean hit, Sally ^^;
While she can definitely hold her own in a fight, it would be a lot harder for her to fight someone technically on the good side of a conflict instead of the usual villains she fights on a regular basis.
Here's the next part of the collab crossover comic, where I created the story,
Waimbert draws the outline, and I color it in and add the dialogue.

"Sturdy" is misspelled. Also, I like that there is no dealings with gender or favoritism between the two. Even though Carmelita has to be the totally clueless, single-minded, black and white cop, she's still able to be a legitimate part of the story while Sally, a total do-gooder has to juggle with a far more extreme character and her morals.
This really was a gripping moment. Yes, the best way to write a woman is to write a man but then add boobs. Y'all aren't any different from us. Like the Penguin said, there's no difference when their errogenous zones are blown sky high.
In all fairness, as much as Carmelita is a fanservice character, I still that good comes to her and grab my pitchfork if something belittling happens to her. And Sally captured my heart on a number of things but it's never really been a sexual thing. When Sally presided over Sonic's trial and came out in that outfit, I was really astounded by it. And this was during the time when the art could at best look like the show but that issue wasn't. I think it was the fact Sally was dressed in the most regal and profound way that got me. Sure, later artists who gave her a more sexy look earned my love, but I've loved Sally for so much more. And I really hope Carmelita and her can bring their beautiful minds and talent together in kickass crossover.
