"The people of these lands have really changed, it's astounding. It seems like just yesterday they lit their uncomfortable enclosed dwellings with candles and torches. Now the people hide from your sight within the confines of enormous cities which produce light that rivals even ours. They even harness it within their own hands, like that youth I saw who shone a quick burst of intense light at me from a device he pulled from his pocket. I wish I knew how he did it, but he ran away too quick for me to get a word in."
An old character of mine named Valacirca, speaking to his only friends- the stars in the sky. I thought it'd be fun to port him into the Hazel Hill setting just to see how it would work. Just like his original form I can see him as an anomaly- unable to eat, sleep, or age. He has the special ability to shine light from his hands, healing even grievous wounds. These qualities definitely puts him past the realm of mage blood and into the classification of chaos blood- creatures that exist only in legends as far as society knows. It would be like the difference between our martial arts master who can slow their heart rate to a minimum and a legendary master who can split a mountain with his ki.
Really happy with the lighting on this one, I love working with glow effects and may end up doing more with him. Great to have a character who is naturally phosphorescent.
