Some peatbogs that I encountered at the shore of the beach. Soft and deep. Tested depth was around 5 feet at the stick, sink depth about two before getting mired and having to struggle to continue. Muckyyucky is all I can say about this particular muck

It wouldn't take much of a push, though It would take a lot of pulling to get free from that, plus the more you struggle, the more the surrounding ground turns into black ooze!

Black ooze like that though does tend to have one little problem. It kinda stinks!

I've been told that most peatbogs have a certain oder to them. yeah it qualifies.

I agree, but I did come prepared for getting dirty, so its all good. No worries even if it was a bit ewww-some right then and there.

That would work too, keep the stinking from happening, but its still getting on you, and that smell sticks around!
