My cousin has the only VHS years ago, and on my opinion this 'lil alien did better job on environmentalist themes than some other cartoon. Suck it, CP!

I didn't know this until I watched Nostalgic Critic review...Isn't Captain Planet for children? I don't think it's wise to bring this issue to younger audience (especially the episode also mentioned needle injection)

Cap Planet was for 8+. At the time AIDS was the new disease so I think the writers wanted to get their message out?

I watched this guy more than I'd like to admit! I never really digged the 'save the planet' era of kids cartoons, but somehow Widget was tolerable.

Oh god the memories : O Didn't think anyone really remembered him. Yeah I kind of agree with ya on the matter of him teaching environmentalism a lot better than most cartoons and games (I'm looking at you Awesome Possom)
