Khakurzu, also refered to as "Dusters" by the people of Saverns, are the maintainers of the city.
They are a species made by the mages of Saverns to help keep the buildings and streets of the city clean of dust, sand and derbies.

The Dusters actually sustain themselves by eating the sand and dust picked up by the heavy thick fur on their hands, feet and tail. So cleaning is not only their job but a necessity for their very existence. While they eat dust and sand, they do not clean such items as garbage, clothing, etc.

They tend to live long lives due to their constant feeding and movement.

Males are rare among the species. So a single male will have several female partners. While males mate with multiple females, female Dusters only mate with one male for life unless the male happens to be killed. Duster never have a single eye color. They are always heterochromial.

Dusters as a species are not aggressive. Being that they roam the city among its citizens, they are a very laid back, cheery and friendly to those around them.

Dusters have the ability to change their size. This being a useful ability in their never ending search for food. Able to go into smaller nooks and crannies that they would usually not be able to reach. This also makes buildings and streets all the more cleaner.

While made for cleaning, Dusters posses average intelligence and are able to communicate though they mostly remain quiet and to themselves.

Fire is the only known fear of the Dusters given their long hair is easily engulfed. Also sticky, wet or muddy areas are also unfavored by them due to the effect it has on their hair.
