I use A notation software to make my music so that I can easily edit and know the time, tempo, mood, time signature and key signatures. Usually it takes me 3 weeks to finish one work ( I can't focus on a single work. I work two pieces at a time sometimes 3 or 4 depends on the flow of the melody in my mind)
and after I finish the piece I save it into a midi file and import it to FL studio for final editing and audio making through VST
