Was having a jam on a friend's acoustic and quite liked the "western" kind of sound it had so asked to borrow it to use in something I'm working on for someone but ended up mucking around on it instead whilst starting to record and got a bit carried away with this.
Bashed it out in an hour or so, it's pretty rough but I spent a bit more time on it than my other acoustic thing (which I spent about 10 minutes on) and I actually gave it a structure as well as a more coherent set of melodies and parts.
I decided that I may as well pop it up on here as I don't post anything on here anymore and seeing as I won't be using it for any projects, I thought you guys might like to have a listen. Besides, I don't like just leaving something I've recorded to the doldrums of my hard-drive.
Anyway, it's a kind of folk/country/rock piece with a mix of both electric and acoustic guitars. Guess it still has my "style" on it despite it not being metal, so it's very melodic. Hope you enjoy it!

OK so after ten or twenty listens I gotta say I love this, and hope you're inclined to/able to polish it up. I love how it goes from sounding like an old west style theme to an Arabian desert theme. I can just imagine mustangs and Arabian horses galloping together. This also sounds like a really awesome Maiden song waiting to happen.
I wish I wasn't so tired. I have an idea for song lyrics I just can't focus atm.

Wow, thanks mate glad you enjoyed it as much as you did!! I may get around to polishing it but I have very little time to work on stuff. Guess it'll have to wait for the time being either way.

I can't write lyrics to save my life, would like to see any ideas you do come up with though! I sometimes have ideas for vocal melodies but they're usually either naff or sound too much like a guitar lead line to be sung. Plus I can't sing haha XD
