
When we first drove by this small military depot in the morning, I saw these helicopters and though, "Wow. I've got to get a picture of that on the way back!"
Unfortunately, the camera didn't zoom as far as I'd hoped, and the small flight line of helicopters is a tiny and blurry.
They appear to be AH-64 Apaches, which are high-tech, tough, and very pretty aircraft --- but they're uber-expensive, few in numbers, unreliable, and INSANELY high-maintenance.
There's also sand, in both the foreground AND the background...

I could see them a LOT more clearly than the camera could photograph them, and they were definitely green.
Besides, with all the down-time that a "Hanger Queen" like the Apache accumulates, it's inevitable that there'll be storage spillover into the other services' facilities.
