I started this a while back when I got my new set of Prisma pencils and just kinda pushed it to the side after a while. Once SPWF started rolling around I decided to go ahead and finish it.
AND MAN AM I SO GLAD I DID. I gave it to Bunny to autograph it and she LOVED it. She asked me to email her a digital copy of it. She went to sign it thinking it was a print and was surprised when the Sharpie reacted to the wax. Sam mentioned that he could smell the wax XD

I'd never even heard of Steam Powered Giraffe until several months ago when I began surfing Flickr for giraffe photos, and then suddenly I started seeing SPG photos and references everywhere. I guess I'm just going to have to check 'em out. :) Any advice on what songs/albums to start with to get a good introduction to their work?
Ahah awesome! They've only got three albums at the moment and they're all pretty different. The songs "Honeybee" and "Automatonic Electronic Harmonics" seem to be the ones that draw most people in, as well as their covers of Rihanna's "Diamonds" and Icona Pop's "I Love It". I'd personally say "Mecto Amore", "Brass Goggles", and "I'll Rust with You" are pretty good indicators of their overall sound.
My mom describes them as steampunk Raffi, if that helps at all XD It's kind of a mix of jazz/vaudeville/50s rock/generally old-timey stuff with some modern twists. Most of the songs are pretty up-beat, whimsical, and sometimes silly, but there are a few that are definitely pretty serious and downright depressing lol (Also, definitely watch the videos as opposed to just listening to the music. A large part of the act is the costumes and acting)
