T10K: Rufus Nayer the Griffon/Griffin/Gryphon
As a part of the promotion of our joint graphic novel project, Kardi and I will be posting brief, sketchy character profiles of all the characters in the story! Sketches by West, flats by
korat !
Rufus Nayer, PR Manager of TRIGENTA. Smooth and sophisticated, Nayer is a highly charismatic figure with a commanding presence and a knack for delivering arresting oratory. He is considered a very spiritual and religious individual with no set denomination, only that he uses the Bible like a weapon and seems to worship only power and influence. His ambition, tempered by intelligence and righteous conviction, makes him a deadly foe. He answers to Naberius, the CEO of TRIGENTA, a rival faction to the FIRM.
Nayer enjoys theatrics, and his guilty pleasure is dropping people from great heights.

Aw, well - all the characters aren't up here yet. That said, Nayer's not the only religious character by any means... actually, quite a few of the characters are (on both sides of the conflict and the story. There's some wonderful folks, and then you have - well, Nayer, who isn't pleasant by any means as a person.)
He's simply a driven character (religious or not) but his personal individual interpretation of faith is an important part of Nayer and how he deals with those around him, and it is an important part of the story. :) Hope that makes sense.

It does. It's just the first one you've posted with a religious bent (and Christian to boot) that I could see and well... there is an unhealthy stereotype I see a lot and I was afraid for a moment that it had struck again. Thank you for assuring me otherwise!
(By the way, I am enjoying he character posts as they come out; some very inventive fellows so far!)

Aw, no worries. I have close family and friends who are religious and absolutely amazing people, and I respect them and their values immensely. :) So, I totally understand where you're coming from, and I know how those things go.
Thank you for being so willing to voice your concerns in a kind way! <3 We really appreciated it!
