My lights are on in my potion store, but I am not there. Well technically I am but I am asleep, face down on the counter up until a horse walks in at which point my head immediately goes up and I pretend I was awake the whole time. “Hi there Cari! Did you have another failed experiment?” the horse chuckles and nods to my human form that I am now in, and unfortunately the equine guessed right. “yup, but I have it all under control, the effects of this should wear off anytime soon” I smile a bit groggily to him. “so whaddya need?” he smiles thinking for a bit before finally stating “Well, I want ta be a bat, and I also want to be able to change back” I look at him nodding ‘shouldn’t be too hard, but knowing my potions he’d turn into a whale before he gets ta be a bat…’ I then get up slowly and rummage through the potions on the shelves, the glasses clacking together as I push them out of the way to grab a nice sapphire colored potion. I yawn and walk back over to him. “There ya go! That’ll be about…a hundred bucks” I smile at him, but he frowns at me after hearing the price. “uhhh…yeah…sorry Cari but i don’t have any money right now…” I look at him, raising an eyebrow. “you have no money, at all?” he looks down “well, I do have about fifty to spare…could you work with that?” I was about to say no, but then I had an idea…”actually, yes, I can work with fifty...IF you test a couple potions for me…” the wise answer would’ve been to say no for the time being, but I’m guessing he was pretty desperate to be a bat if he agreed to testing my potions… “okay, deal!” he smiled at me. “well okay then!” I clasp my hands together, getting up and heading into my potions lab I study the bottles and vials lining the counters with an endless amount of colors and textures. I grab two potions, one a sort of glowing pink one, the other looking a sickly green hue. Walking back into the store with the two vials I hand him one. “You are going to test these two potions, and you hand me the fifty dollars, then you can have the bat potion!” The grey horse looks down at the green potion I handed him, swirling it around. “Will the bat potion cancel out the effects of these two?” ‘Most likely not…’ “Of course it will! You will be a bat and a bat only! And remember, you’re only testing these, so take one sip only” I smile at him warmly “Well…okay, bottoms up!” The horse takes a sip of the potion, handing me the rest of it. He coughs for a bit. “Ack!! it f-feels like I-it’s moving inside of me!” He holds his gut as his fur starts to go from grey to a sort of dark green. “Don’t worry, I’m sure that it’s just the texture!” ‘I hope’ the fur on his body starts to flatten down, a sort of goo starts to seep out of his pores. “w-what’s in that potion anyhow?!” well I think I could’ve guessed what he was going to turn into, but I actually wanted to see the transformation. So I could write down the steps until the finale. The horse actually looking a bit see through as the goo now encompasses his whole body, looking like it’s actually taking the color from the fur as it pretty much disintegrates it. “actually, I think that one test will do” I give a nervous chuckle as he now becomes completely see through. “I-I’m…m-made of goo?!” the horse looks down, somehow keeping his shape. “yep, that’s what it looks like.” He looks at me worried. “Don’t worry! The bat potion will get rid of all that goo!” I give him a smile “well…a-alright, so do I get the potion now?” “well, actually you still need to test this one” as I hold up the vial containing the pink potion inside , the horse grabs it. “W-What could be worse than being goo…” ‘well I could name a few things…’ he takes a sip and again hands me the rest, as he closes his eyes. I chuckle a little as I see the goo change from green to a sort of dark red, then lightening up to a nice pink color.” I-I’m not even going to ask what that potion did…c-can I have my bat potion now?” I then nod and hand him the sapphire potion as he puts down the fifty dollars he had and walks out, leaving some goo on the ground where he walked. “ughh….now I’m gunna have ta clean all that up...” I grumble while I grab a bottle and put as much of the goo inside of it that I could, and put it in my lab. Heading back to my counter to wait for another customer, I find a mysterious note that simply stated. ‘Make a potion to go back in time’ I looked at it quizzically before looking around the shop, not noticing that one of my potions is gone and a small familiar anthro mouse has scurried off into a back room...
