Whoops I now have two characters named Milo...
Anyway, this guy is a repurposed military robot who is know a service bot. The company that made him was experimenting with transferring human consciousness into synthetic bodies, and this guy was either believed to be a failed test or an accidental by-product. He's now self-aware and capable of learning, and has a personality, but doesn't a) have any human memories or b) realize that that's unusual for robots. There's more to it but that's the basics.

....Nnnno. For the record, it's kind of not okay to compare an artist's original character to an already existing one, and definitely don't call them a "remake". It makes a lot (and I do mean a LOT) of artists feel uncreative, or like they did all that work for nothing...and sometimes makes them afraid to design anything else for fear of it looking too much like something else. I know it does for me.
