I kind of messed up my original free reference sheet file.
SO I MADE A NEW ONE :D
Everything is in ONE PSD file. Just like the image says, it has both male and female bodies (plus multiple bosom sizes for the ladies!) plus...
- Five different species
- Eight tails
- Five kinds of ears
- Six hairstyles
Just go through the folders, select the options you want, erase any stray/overlapping lines and START COLORING! :D
The file is available for download HERE:
www.cat-bird.com/refsheets
Updates:
V.1 Set default visible sets to basic canine male/female, male and female groups now open by default. Added a tutorial layer.
V.2 6/10/12 Added bunny heads with lop and normal ears, added fluffier body and scaled belly/arms/legs options, added bunny, nub/docked, feathered, feathered raptor and rat/opossum tails.
v.3 7/15/12 Added big cat ears and lion manes for males. Also made a more in depth tutorial available at FandomFashions.com

FAQ
Where do I start?
There is a tutorial layer at the very top of the file. Make it visible (Click the eye icon next to it in the layers window in Photoshop) to see the basics of what you need to know. All the layers except for a basic male set are invisible to start. You need to make each layer visible/invisible as desired to get the set you want. If there are any overlapping areas, you can erase them if you would like.
This line won't go away!
Make sure you have the correct layer selected! Click the correct ear layer to erase part of an ear, hair for hair, tail for tail, etc.
What program do I need to open this?
Any paint program that accepts PSD files and supports layers should work. Photoshop or Paint Tool Sai are probably your best bet though!
Can I repost this?
Yes! Linking back is much appreciated!
Can I color these and sell them?
Sorry, no. Please do not use them for commissions/adoptables or anything like that. This is a free resource for anyone to use.
I colored one!
I'd love to see it! Please post any completed refs in the comments. :3
I don't know how to do ____!
Sorry but I cannot do individual troubleshooting/modifications. I am very sorry to say that you will need to learn how to _____ on your own. Ask a friend, google, anyone except me!
Can you add a ____?
I will likely be updating this file in the future with new species and parts so keep an eye out! I do not do these updates by request, you will just have to check back later.
Can you make a plantigrade/taur/chakat/other kind of body type version?
Unfortunately, due to the many multiple parts that must line up in order for all versions to mesh correctly, I will NOT be making these additional types. You are more than welcome to modify the reference to suit your needs.
