Soooo, sleep just isn't happening lately and I decided to look through my old artwork over on Deviantart and redrew a sketch:

After doing that first one, I picked out an image that I was super proud of 10 years ago and decided to invest about 40 minutes into recreating it. It's kind of insane to think that it took me 40 minutes to recreate something that took me hours years ago, and the comparison is just insane.

Honestly, I think this is a good opportunity for me to share my thoughts on art and skill; In my opinion there is no talent behind art but rather, practice. I think that anyone has the potential to become a "good" artist if they are willing to commit and invest the time to turn it into an acquired skill. It may take years, but the truth of the matter is that the time pays off!
