The light breeze blew through Bonomec's smoke stained fur as he took another drag. The day had been a little rough. His chief had ripped into him for some bull shit reason, and was told him if he fucks up one more time he would not be going to Italy, and after hearing his parents say how proud they were he was finally going somewhere, and excitingly waiting months; it might not happen.
Bonomec leaned back against the bench, closed his eyes and let the nicotine and scents carried in the breeze calm him. Opening his eyes he looked up into the sky. "Let them see how high I can jump when they ask," he thought, "they will see how high and realize they were wrong the entire time I've been at the command."
A smile spread across Bonomec's muzzle as he looked out into the night. Tomorrow would be better and life will move on. They won't find a reason to take Italy from him; no matter how hard they look.
