why doesnt professor oak use fucking internet or soemthing

Oh! OH OH OH!! I was reading, and and you know the Pokémon comic? The one they translated to American for about two-three arcs before they stopped? It's really dark and stuff and it's actually legal to kill your opponent's Pokémon (though highly discouraged)? I was reading somewhere that the world depicted in the Pokémon comics is the world that the original creator (Kazuki Takahashi?) actually envisioned being real. D: Not the really weird, surreal one with all the trimmings we've been presented.

I saw this episode once where James had a 4-tube rocket launcher (Resident Evil-style) and held up a bank with it, but then decided to try and capture Pikachu instead.

His priorities were awesome.

Today I was just wondering about Pokemon while packing my stuff. Ash is a pretty fucking useless pokemon trainer because supposedly he's "gotta catch 'em all" but whenever he sees a new pokemon he's always like "ooo must scan" and then "neat, let's leave it in peace now".

Question this made me think of. In Pallet town (or wherever you start) are all the people trapped there? One way exit blocked by grass, and if you don't have a pokemon apparently they try to kill you (the wild one's I mean), Heck you can't wander out into the grass cause people warn you of the danger... so yeah question. Are those poor people trapped forever?

I'M PLAYING DIAMOND RIGHT NOW AND WAS TOTALLY REMINDED OF THIS haha
