Actually, Orion Pax (his cartoon pre-warrior self) was a dock worker. Optronix (the pre-warrior self in the comics) was the clerk.

There's been multiple canons since the beginning, really. The G1 cartoon and the original Marvel G1 comic are different canons (and the cartoon further divides between US canon and Japanese canon after Season 3), RiD (2001) is its own canon, the Unicron Trilogy is its own canon (and a half), the live-action movies are their own canon, and so on.

Ah, I thought those weren't really canon, just.. like.. side stories; while the official canon story was the G1 cartoon, and then later the WOC became the new official canon dat was like "this is teh true transformers!" kinda fingy

I have seen the Generation One and I do own the whole series. Generation One is fantastic and one of the best for laying down the foundation and canon layout of the characters that we all love to this day. But honestly, in terms of character development, plot, and storyline, the Unicron trilogy is the best.

Your list is SEVERELY lacking. Optimus Prime, in any incarnation, is the best. Along with Soundwave, Megatron, Starscream, Hot Shot (Unicron trilogy), Ultra Magnus, and so many others. The fact that you chose only characters from bombs that were inserted into the TF fandom (excluding G1), you hardly know what you are talking about. Those franchises: RID, Alternators, Animated... helped destroy the fandom. Watch the Unicron trilogy, play WFC and FOC, and watch G1. Those are testaments to the greatness of Transformers without breaking anything canon about the characters.

The only thing amazing that I got out of watching the TFA fandom was the Decepticon triple-changer and triple-faced Blitzwing. I loved that guy. But besides that, it was a mockery of Transformers. Enjoyable to watch the stupid things happen in it, but at the same time painful when you look at it.

So, I think maybe you should actually be a Transformers fan and learn what you are talking about. Because so many other true Transformers fans will agree with me that you're list is wrong. By a mile. Your list fails in comparison to what most Transformers fans believe.

Animated had a better story than anything G1 ever hoped to have. Your nostalgia clouds your judgement for the past. Robots in Disguise was fun and lighthearted.
By the by, both had very successful toylines and well loved TV shows. Animated is considered by many I've talked with to be better than most of the other shows in recent years.

However, we can both agree that Transformers is a fantastic franchise, and despite our different opinions, we can both enjoy the awesomeness of transforming robots fighting other transforming robots.

Speaking as someone who didn't grow up with G1, I've watched G1 as an adult and read summaries of the various G1 comics (including the pointlessly-grimdark modern G1 comics). The G1 cartoon is actually alright. It's cheesy, but in a delicious way, and aside from the episode B.O.T. the stories are good and the heroes feel like actual heroes instead of quasi-heroic assholes or incompetents. It's that cartoon and Peter Cullen's and Frank Welker's voice acting that firmly established Optimus Prime as both a noble leader and a total badass, and Megatron as a credible and scary villain (repeated failures notwithstanding). It's not the greatest, in my opinion, but the original cartoon is still a fairly good show.

In general ALL the Transformers are great. They all are fantastic in their own way. I am happy to finally found someone with such a huge passion for Transformers like I do!

Have you played Fall of Cybertron? They brought back Grimlock, Swoop, Snarl, and Slug of the Dinobots. Those videogames (WFC and FOC) are a love-song to Transformers fans everywhere and is one of the few things currently keeping the true fandom alive.

And Astrotrain (all incarnations) is the coolest of the Triple Changers but for multiple alt-modes Cybertronians, I have to side with G1 Sixshot. Even though he kills Ultra Magnus, but because he is a freaking Decepticon ninja and if you ever read the recent IDW comics, he is an indestructible living weapon who was only bested by Optimus Prime!

Soundwave (all incarnations) is, hands-down, my favourite Decepticon. That voice. Those skills. And everything he does is just so badass! Of course then I prefer Megatron (all incarnations), Blackout (TF2007 movie), Starscream (Unicron trilogy), the Combaticons (G1 and FOC), Barricade (movie franchise and WFC), and all the others. I can't decide... they're ALL so awesome! :D

For the Autobots, Jazz (all incarnations) is my favourite. Then comes Optimus Prime (all but TFA & TFP), Ironhide (all incarnations), Ratchet (all incarnations), Grimlock (all incarnations), Ultra Magnus (G1), Jetfire (Cybertron) and the others.

War for Cybertron and Fal of Cybertron was aweesoooom! And cooler yet, Hasbro has made teh games teh canon story !

Soundwave was awesome cus he was always loyal to teh end to Megatron wiff hardly any other were XD

I love what Megatron says to Soundwave in FOC: "Never improve upon perfection, Soundwave!" X3

I think a lot of people can relate to this page, myself included, that when we meet someone new we all go quiet and awkward and clam up a little....

Well the Masterpiece Grimlock is basically an overscale Grimlock G1 toy. With Articulation.

Yes. Articulation that the toy seen here doesn't have. It also has high shoulders in robot mode, and they stick out from the body more because of the joints they're on.

Fair enough. I just went with Masterpiece because of the size. But yeah I see it. Maybe it's a Oversized KO, lol~

I am a huge Transformers fan myself and I have deluxe figures of them all over my room :P

And it's a freaking Generation One Grimlock action figure! I only have a chrome edition of G1 Thundercracker as they are hard to come by nowadays here in Canada. It's like everyone collects them.

Although I love Optimus Prime and a number of the Autobots, I personally side with the Decepticons. For one reason: Soundwave. You can't mess with that guy! Megatron's most staunchest supporter and communications officer who can literally do anything.

Oh, speaking of Grimlock, are you going to see Transformers 4: Age of Extinction? Cuz I totally am! Why? Optimus Prime is ride on Grimlock's back and they brought in a Decepticon bounty hunter kinda anti-hero character named Lockdown :P
