Nyarlathotep, or 'Nyarl' as most prefer to call him, was the first recorded
Lich in history. Nyarlathotep had wealth, beauty, wives, and power; but what
he wanted most was a place in the after life above all those that have come
before and after him. Nyarlathotep would amass a wealth of knowledge and
be known as a great magi of his people, but at his life's end he would slay a
thousand slaves and nobles alike to commit a disgusting ritual of ever life.

Heroes abound would confront this evil magi and many would fail, but like all
evil things he would be vanquished and entombed deep within the burning
sands of time, but like all great evils his power could not be contained forever.
There will be a time where he will rise again.

There will be one that will attempt to control him, to raise him back from
his sleep.

Nyarlathotep does not raise zombies, he does not raise skeletons.
Nyarl believes himself an artist, every body is a piece of art that
he believes can be made better by his touch. Bodies are brought back
more gruesome and beautiful by his power.
