I'm really horrible at tutorials because I get so wrapped up in what I'm doing that I fly ahead of steps before I even think to take pictures. BUT people keep asking me for some semblance of them, so here's a *REALLY* rough progression of the last bust I did. Make a blobby thing and then refine said blobby thing and then add details, then bake it and carve any areas what need smoothing and there you go. Wow. I'm so helpful.
I should note that the first three stages are done almost entirely with my hands, I mostly only use tools for the details :3

I don't think we've sculpted together all that often and it was ages ago! (we should change that soon maybe? :P)
What I'm seeing here is that you shape things out from a main blob right off the bat by pulling the shapes out?
Correct me if I'm wrong!
I start with a round or oval shape and shape the base, then I shape things separately and attach them almost exclusively.
