Been meaning to redraw this guy for a while, so here he is. Highlighting his books. Again. You let my mom catch you doing that, Eidolon, and she'll rip you a new one.
Anyway. This is one of the six gods in my little head-world. Unlike the other gods, who are praised and revered by the mortals on their planet, Eidolon is usually cursed and shunned; he is the god of darkness and death. The Grim Reaper. The only ones who care for him are the Necromancers.
Not that he enjoys being the Reaper. He does what he does because no one else can do it, and if he didn't, the world would become a cluttered mess of lost souls. In fact, he rather hates the nature of his existence; why did the creator make him so emotional and conscience-ridden if only a psychopath would enjoy this job?
After so many aeons doing this, his facial expressions range from "disinterested" to "mildly concerned." Because of this, he comes off as intimidating at best and just plain scary at worst. This means not a lot of people strike up conversations with him should he decide to disguise himself as a mortal. Which suits him fine. If you do talk to him, though, you'll discover that he does, in fact, have feelings and likes and desires, and is actually very friendly.
His robes contain a lot of pockets, some of them bottomless, which he stashes all kinds of "distractions" in (he has to stay sort of detached to get through a normal day of reaping). These distractions are often books or candy; he is known in his little social circle for having a ravenous sweet tooth.
