there are very few things on rubber tyres that interest me. this is one of them. the other are gmc/chevy light trucks, including cargo panel vans, prior to 1960.
the 1958s and the classic 1953s. also nissan light trucks and vans of any year. but i really could quite happily live in a world with 'sidewalks' and bike paths but no streets and with narrow gauge railways instead of them.

My little brother would LOVE to get his mitts on one like this.

My family had a pop top camper.

so did mine All green exterior & interior plaid

It had the luggage over the driver so it popped up facing toward the front.

ours did too Tho the top did pop up on us a couple times while driving!

a person I know at work used to also have a fully automatic bus. till the repair expense got too much.
Why are they still on the road? for the same reason beetles are still on the road. we grew up with them and love them, and want to keep them going, and with Mexico and Brazil still making parts, we can.
