This is a sketch I made for a recent game idea I might tinker with here and there. (There's something wrong with the pants, I'm going to see if I can't fix that later) The concept is basically a rpg set within a large, highly detailed city and after a poll made on my Halapmir account I settled on it having a "Cyberpunk/Film Noir" theme. Cyberpunk because it's set in the future and features robotics, cyberspace and bio engineering as all being common place, and "film noir" because the setting will feature both batman-like "Goth-Deco" and 1930's style Streamline Moderne. Stories and feel will be inspired by film noir films and pulp magazines. Real hard-boiled and gritty is the goal here. Another obvious influence is Blade Runner but I want to also make this something unique and distinct from it.
The setting doesn't have aliens but does have several new species given birth by either genetics or cybernetics. Two of them are "beast" species alongside more humanoid species.
This is the more "reptilian" of the two:
Species: Saura
Origin: Military Research
Strengths: Health regeneration, resistance to fire, physical strength
Weakness: Weakness to cold
Background: An early attempt at blending species DNA to create a super soldiers splicing humans with various reptiles, Saures were promising enough to even be deployed at the time but eventually were phased out in favor of less clumsy attempts at modification. Once in civilian life they have adapted themselves to breed and survive as the species they are today.
Personality: Most Saures are very loyal and have a strong sense to protect the innocent, though modest about it they are very intelligent and tactical when solving problems. As allies they're heroes but as enemies they are nightmares.
Typical Occupations: Soldier, Law enforcement, vigilantism, bouncers, prize fighters, coaches, hit-men, petty criminals, occasional serial killer.
Social Profile: Being born and engineered solely for combat, they are usually feared by other species and find themselves severely marginalized because of it. As their occupations indicate they usually find work where thier muscle and combat skills are most needed. They are offended by suggestions that they don't have emotions or intelligence. "Lizard" or "Dino" are common slurs.

Pretty plain and default on the story, but I like it.
But I am one that can enjoy simple and plain things and finds it annoying when everything is extraordinary and flashy and super special and complicated. I am just a plain and simple dinosaur, see.
I like the look, as it has lots of beast in it. And little flashy fluff. :)
