Because that picture is so awkwardly static and weird looking.
He looks a lot more jovial and bouncy here, and I think I like that look.

The Gourmet king won a cooking contest locally, which is what got him that silly crown, but he decided that he wasn't happy with being a small time chef, so he opened a bistro and has an open call for anyone to come and show him a flavor that he's never had before!
It's his life goal to taste, and create, every flavor there is to taste!
