Would suggest that he is in the midst of combat but then he would be looking straight ahead during his walking, not towards the side like he is, so something else, no immediate danger directly ahead of him.
Lines are smoother on the lower half, although they appear a bit rougher, bolder up top in the image. Eyes are hard, but only in expression, they don't seem to be that way in experience or age, giving a sort of softer view on the leopard, position suggest movement of some kind, whether its of the legs or not I can't tell but he's clearly mid turn just a little bit as the body is twisting towards the viewer. I like that.
