how to create a digimon
Ok, here is the thing. digimon are just data right? well, I decided to get all the information I could on the topology of flamedramon. all the angles, creases, appendages, and such. trying to emulate this data to the best of my ability in Blender, I was able to use a 3D digital reconstuction printer (I built over the course of 2 years) to place all the body parts and organs in microscopically accurate locations. He took about a full 24 hours to get rendered into the real world, but it worked! he is watching me type this as I speak :)
and as a bonus, due to him having all his digital data predefined as vertices in my 3D art program, he can use this machine in reverse to manipulate his 3D data inside my computer.
granted I don't let him do that a bunch, due to the fact that I don't trust anyone (including myself) to go around on the internet and cause a bunch of havoc.
but that's what I like about digimon. they are compatible with anything that uses data, and you can do more things with them. with Pokemon, you have to do more artificial artistry work to make them move, act, and communicate like they should. or else careless mistakes may backfire on you horribly.
Ever read Mary Shelly's "Frankenstein"?
