And here's a piece from
damienyfel.
"Not Always a Happy Ending"
One day the Admiral will have to leave the port he's in. He has a responsibilities to his men and a war to fight. Even if he wanted to stay, how could he explain his
reasons to his men? Cuthbert would talk him into seeing reason. I doubt Amon or Dhaval will leave his thoughts.
What happens when Dhaval becomes older, more experienced and customers are more interested in him than Amon? Considering Amon's sizable debts that will never be
able to be repaid, will she really sell him to Don Coros? Without Amon there, how will Dhaval cope with life at the brothel?
When Amon is sold off to the Don at at last, he's faced with living a life every day with a man that strikes fear into him. I don't imagine a spark like Amon's to go out
without struggle though. I imagine he'd be defiant at all cost. Memories of a kind sailor and an innocent tiger once upon a time keep him company in his new found
bondage.
Even if there was a chance for a happily ever after, so many people stand in there way...
~
At first I wasn't going to enter the contest, but then when there was a week long extension I decided a week was long enough to do something. Evidently a week was not
long enough for me because I have poor time management skills.
Submitted probably too late for the contest but I wanted to upload it anyways. Worked pretty hard on it and I'm proud of the end result. This large piece is actually done
on four pieces of paper. Luther is one piece, Cuthbert is another, Manjusha and Dhaval are on one, then finally, Don Coros and Amon are on the last sheet. Then I
scanned them all and put them together in Photoshop. The placement of each character is deliberate, putting Luther and Amon at opposite ends from each other with all
their obstacles between them.
Red Lantern is a wonderful comic made by
rukis. All the characters belong to her.
Backgrounds for the comic are done by
alectorfencer and
myenia
