I work at UPS. someone actually mailed a mesh box containing an entire hive of bees. mesh box. of bees. with stingers. If I felt brave/foolish enough to get close enough to that things, I would have noted the label, gone to the persons address and punched them for it. and why the heck did the company even accept that as a package that could be mailed? we get mesh boxes full of crikcets going to pet stores to feed the lizards all the time, and those bust open and the crickets get loose.... but those are just crickets. bees? really bad idea.
