((I may sound like delving too much into this, so apologies before hand; this is just part of my curious archiver-mentality / "job"))
More than likelythe one you saw was broadcasted by Nickelodeon, which was semi mash-up with two series (since reasons not-exactly-known, seven-episodes from first original series was omissioned; rest 10 of 55 shown epidodes were from "New"-non-Nippon-Animation-series). The Nick Jr. (block-version) was Saban Entertaiment imorted-version (who for example changed the theme-song, as they usually did back then); there exists an older British-version too.
"Kerobi" more than likely refers to "Koara Bōi Kokki" or "Fushigina Koara Burinkī"; both shows were shown alongside Maya, The Littl' Bits and Mysterious Cities of Gold.
On a random note, this is one those rare works the author prevented (Waldemar Bonsels) from being Disney-fied in 1936.
((I'm mainly going with info I found over at internet; critical thinking is encouraged)).
Other the only thing "directly" referencing to "Kerobi" is an animated series called "Robby & Kerobby"
