Okay, so this was a pic I drew sometime last year (at least...I think it was last year. 0.o I really need to start dating these things. XD), and today I decided to work on it to get in some practice. To be honest, the moon and the night sky thing was accidental, but it just looked better and seemed to fit the scene more. X3

The night to me represents the spirit finally coming to rest in a person's soul, where they are able to free their wings and finally relax. The blob that's hovering over the hands is, in a way, symbolic of releasing the dark weight of negativity inside once you find the strength to move past what it was that had been bothering you or you overcame a great hurdle in your life.

I'll be honest when I say that I myself have felt the dark and heavy weight of things in my life, but I've found myself feeling...free. Like I know that things are going to be okay, and I'm so close to achieving my goals. I just have to remember to keep on striving forward and keep my wings open to fly on the ever-changing wind currents. No matter where they may take me, I know that I will do my best to overcome life.
