Story
Bara was a drifter for many years after arriving on planet Earth always hiding her true form behind the disguise of being a regular human till she was caught up in an unprovoked plasma bomb attack on a city she was visiting at the time. She survived thanks to her alien nature but was severely burned as a result, and while she was unconscious her body was taken in the confusion by an unknown hooded figure. When she awoke, she found herself bound on a metal table and a burning sensation on her back where a strange device was implanted later discovered to be an Ultra-link. Bara escaped her captor, and his attempts to create an army of modified humans by forcefully pairing them with dormant Ultra-links believing that was the future of humanity.

The relationship between Bara and her newly acquired Ultra-link at first involved the pair of them locking proverbial horns almost constantly with both parties resenting the fact that they were now stuck together; Bara being unhappy with the fact she'd now have to carry this thing around for the rest of her life, and the Ultra-link (calling itself Teriss) resentful it had to be attached to an organic instead of a machine. However, they eventually came to tolerate and even enjoy each other's presence. Unlike Max and Steel however, the relationship is not symbiotic as Bara does not need Teriss to survive but Teriss does need Bara's natural ambient energy to avoid permanent shut-down. Bara does enjoy no longer being a lone alien on the planet amongst humans.

Abilties
Can hijack and improve anything she touches like any Ultra-link. She can also create a secondary armour for Bara at will and in return Bara leaves a static field over Teriss' docking point to protect it from being targeted. They both have created a combined way to hide it from view much like Max's suit being disguised as a t-shirt and pants.

Personality
Stubborn and independent-minded like Bara, but also cares deeply once she sees how well Bara handles herself in a fight. Her memory core was completely erased by the stranger before she was attached to Bara, as he did not want his 'new army' to have loyalties to any other but him. Both Bara and Teriss' do have vague memories of what his voice sounds like but they do not know who he is or what he looks like.

Also I must admit, I am really thrilled how this turned out. For once, it seems to actually seem real enough to actually be believable. ^^;
