Chapter V: Benny and Shadow's friendship

While the gang was half way to the other side other side of the planet. Vanguard and Benny stayed awake taking turns on driving the speeder while the other were getting some sleep. Vanguard noticed his father had a worried look on his face, Vanguard looks and says, "Is something wrong dad?"

Benny hearing his son voice speaks in a worried tone, "well... yes son i was just thinking how life would have been if Shadow and me stayed friends, none of this would have had happened."

Vanguard was shocked when he heard his father's word and replied, "Wait... you mean, you and Shadow used to be friends!"

Shhh! his father said,"their still sleeping" Sorry dad Vanguard replied

"So dad you and Shadow used be friends? Yes Son but that was a long time age before I met your mother"

(Flashback back when Benny and Shadow were kids at age 8)

Benny and Shadow loved hunting, sparring, and fighting against Mao Yami also know as Hikari o Kirau. This Demon is 6'0" feet tall, all demon but he can transform into anyone who is either a hero, warriors, or sage to trick his enemies by trying them against each-other or to serve him as his slaves to build his empire. Powers include attribute of lighting, fire, and a special power that causes his enemies to trumble in fear by using his dark hand of despair by using he would make everyones nightmares come to live or worse to steal their very soul. the one weapon he wields is a black katana called, the Yami no kui. Benny starts talking to his son, "We were best friends back in the day when were kids still being trained under my father Nava Skylar who was the head of the Skylar Clan and Shadow... well no one knew where he came from his parents died when he was 2 years old so my father adopted him, feed him, and trained him to fight along side me aganist the coming darkness. but then a dark figure appeared inside the Skylar Temple where the sowrd, Yami no kui, was kept away from anyone and from anything, his name was Hikari o Kirau the Demon king they called him, my father, Shadow and I fought aganist but all our efforts on beating were not enough to stop him from getting the sword. Once he got it father in graved a symbol that said sealing light and said the words, "Shiringuratio!" and it cause Hikari to sealed inside the temple where his was about to grab the sword." Vanguard interrupts the flashback, "but wait that doesn't explain how Shadow became evil, how you and mom met and what this eye of mine."

His father lays a hand on his shoulder and says, "how bout you drive for a bit I'm gonna get some water from cooler then I'll continue with my story.
