this is a commissioned piece for 
Anbessa of a Role Playing character of his. according to his description this character had once been a human, but through a twist of fate was transformed into an Anubis-like being.
this picture takes place after his transformation, when he is able to finally assess himself in the mirror.

i took an obscenely long time on this commission, and i've finally finished it!!! Anbessa i'm incredibly sorry for such the long time it took. hopefully you're pleased with it!

hard to say. so far it looks pretty good to me, very close to what I had in my mind. I am just not sure if I included ebony dark skin in the description or not. if not, blame's on me.
besides, if you'd say light skin tone looks better I'll happily nod to it and take it as is. you have put quite enough work into it until now, especially for the not very high price you asked for...
to make it short, I'll leave the decision to you. for me, it's finished. :)

here's what i'll do: i will re-work it with darker skin and see if that doesn't help the piece. with the light skin it's feeling very, very "bleached out", if you understand. the Anubis-like character feels very washed out with that light background.
after i rework it with the darker skin, i'll let you decide which one you like more *grins*
