looks lie a feed issue. We typically get though a body suit, maybe 2 on just one needle. Ideally, you should not break needles, they should just be replaced when dull. I know that is not always how it goes.. But i can tell you that you may be able to adjust your technique to avoid that much plate strike.

I think it might be tha machines just old as sin. And there is a huge ding on the plate where the needle goes through that's gotten kinda warped into the hole towards the bobbin and I think that's what it keeps hitting. I can go dlfor a good long stretch with no problems but then bam, three or four needles in a row gone, then its good again. Might also have been that the purple fur I was working with is kind of gnarly in the backing since it mostly happened when I was going purple to purple or where 4 corners met.

I'm definitely planning to get a new machine that's meant to handle tougher materials as soon as I can. :3

what machine do you have?

Sometimes its as easy as a tune up. I went though 2 machines before I learned that it was not the machine, but my technique.

Do you ever feel like you have to pull the fabric along?

Its a kemnore from abour 11 years ago. Not normal fabric but fur needs some help to get fed through. I've used it off and on for cosplay projects ove the last decade and I've only ever had this problem with fur so far.
